Spaghetti Carbonara.

The final meal of this series, it shall be using the ingredients which have been used in several of the meals. Through using ingredients which are adaptable and can spread to several meals you can save a lot on the costs.

Cooking process

This meal uses bacon and onions so saving on cost. It is one of the biggest tips of buying food I find is to buy ingredients which can go into as many meals as possible. Have one pan full of water boiling ready for the spaghetti, then in a frying pan fry off sliced bacon and diced onions. Once fried off add the carbonara sauce into the pan and allow to simmer for a few minutes. Then in the pan of boiling water cook the spaghetti for between 10 and 12 minutes depending how you like your pasta. Once cooked drain away and add to the carbonara sauce. Stir it altogether, and serve up.

Hopefully from these meals you can survive the first year of university. Also you may realise that meals don’t have to be super noodles with a sachet of barbecue sauce. You can feed yourself properly and still have money left for a night out at Oceana. Taking a bit of time to prepare food and to store it safely will make life cheaper and your diet better. If you’ve had any success with any of the meals let us know down in the comment section.
