Following their success on the X Factor, 5 After Midnight have announced their debut EP, ‘The Sauce’.

The four-track EP will be ‘drip-fed’ released, and its first track Taste has already proved popular with fans. The Sauce is said to be a sneak-peak of what they have been up to while working on their debut album, which is yet to be announced.

The trio – comprised of Kieran Alleyne, Jordan ‘Jay’ Lee and Nathan Lewis – were signed to Simon Cowell’s label Syco Music, after coming third on the X Factor last year.  Having amassed well over 500,000 followers over all their social media sites combined, their new sounds are well-awaited by their large backing.

Speaking to OnTheScene about the EP, Kieran Alleyne said, “[The Sauce] took approximately two months to complete. We liked the concepts of the songs and just ran with it.

“We always wanted to put our fans first with all we were doing – so this is our gift. Let’s just call it a clue of what’s in store for everyone when the album is finished.”

Previously released tracks include the popular, radio-loved single Up In Here which has accumulated over 1.8 million views on YouTube. Jordan Lee said the group were excited to be releasing new music.

“We wanted to get music out there so people know what we’ve been working so hard on,” he explained.

The Sauce will feature four tracks: 'Taste', 'City Lights', 'Flowers' and 'Talk'.

The Sauce has no official release date, but the boys plan to do surprise releases of each piece. Along with Taste, the album will feature huge club tracks ‘Talk’ and ‘City Lights’. The final number is a reworked version of the number one garage tune ‘Flowers’, including a hypnotic twist on vocal arrangements.

With a positive reaction to their first track release off The Sauce, 5 After Midnight expect promising responses to the complete EP.

Alleyne said, “People really seem to love the vibe of [Taste] which is all we could’ve asked for.

“We spent hours really trying to master our craft. We heard the records coming together and knew we had something good.”

5 After Midnight performed some iconic numbers during their time on the X Factor, including their take on ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours)” and “Crazy In Love”. The three of them impressed both fans and judges with their eclectic mix of impressive dance moves and stunning vocals. But now things are on the way up for this dynamic trio. From vocal battles to home-grown musicians, where will their successes take them next?
