Alpines

Alpines released their new album Another River on 28 October. Alpines is a UK duo based in Kingston upon Thames in South London and consists of Bob Matthews (guitar and production) and Catherine Pockson (pianist, singer/songwriter). The kind of music the two produce is a unique mix of pop, synthpop and soul.

This album is entirely different from their previous one; it has romantic songs that talk about love and rejection whereas their previous album had songs that talked mostly about power.

The fifth track Heaven is available on YouTube and is the climactic track of this new album.

The last track from the album is Under the Sun, a song about love and rejection. It tells the story of a man who hides his feelings because he is shy. Alpines begin their small tour around the UK, Scotland, and around Europe. The prices for the tickets for UK are satisfactory but around the Europe are more expensive.
