They were one of the 2017’s biggest success stories in in the world of breaking British rock bands. Their debut album (sharing the same name as the band) enters into the album charts at No. 8. In the vinyl charts they even reached No. 6.
In 2018 they released a video to the last single of their song and announced first details of their first tour.
The video juxtaposes live footage from their sold-out show at the O2 Kentish Town Forum with clips of frontman Matt Thomson performing the song in his garage. It encapsulates the band’s meteoric rise: songs which were written long before The Amazons made a name for themselves are now hollered back at them by a growing devoted fanbase.
Even better news, the band is coming to Portsmouth this Friday. They’re performing at the iconic Pyramids Centre, located near Southsea Castle. The show starts at 19:00 and tickets are still available right now and you can purchase them here.
