This May, Essex born singer-songwriter Beans On Toast will be embarking on an unconventional tour of UK pubs with his “Down The Pub” tour. Inspired by a song of the same name from his latest album “A Spanner in the Works” which was released in December 2016 (Xtra Mile Recordings), Beans is set to champion the #saveourpubs campaign.
Beans On Toast, real name Jay McAllister, describes himself as a hippy, a punk, a poet, a drunk, a die-hard romantic and an eternal optimist. His songs are simple but powerful, tackling big social and political issues. From protest songs for the modern day to honest and open love songs, everyone can find something to like about this artist.
His live shows have been described as an odd and unpredictable experience. His self-deprecating quality combined with his storytelling abilities break down the barriers between musician and audience, creating a sense of equality.
