Guildford grown punk-rockers BlackWaters are a spit-fuelled four piece that have channelled their pent up aggression into rampant, agitated punk rock’n’roll.

Their new release ‘Down’ is the eagerly awaited sequel to their original debut ‘So Far Out’, which was produced by none other than Carl Barât – the co-frontman for The Libertines alongside notorious Pete Doherty. Carl was attracted to BlackWaters’ sound after hearing their fledgling release, a song which was written in response to Brexit.

“There’s no inspiration, we’ve got no platform to say anything on. Our age restricts what we can and can’t do. If I was born a few days later I’d be able to vote on a decision that will change my life. I’m talking about the Brexit by the way…”

The band’s intensity and raucous energy shine through even more-so when experienced live, with their statement songs hammering home the political issues which are sure to effect the four’s lives for years to come.

Whilst touching on current affairs, the band makes sure their lyrics aren’t overly political. They’d rather prefer to be subversive through allowing their peers to break free and channel their rage and apathy into their fire-fuelled anthems along with the band.

In celebration of their new debut single, the band are set to embark upon a co-headline tour with Blackpool trio Strange Bones, covering 15 dates of short, sharp introductions.
