The full string of infamous Channel One speakers are being set up in Junk for tonights performance

Channel One Soundsystem are back! The renowned reggage heavyweights founded in London vibes and are in Southampton tonight. They come with the support of Hip Hop selector Disorda and local reggae enthusiasts Headsessions. You can expect a heavy night of bass weight on London Road’s own Junk Nightclub.

Reggae has been pioneered by the likes of the Channel One legacy. It initially started as a record label in Jamaica, revived by Mikey Dread and Jah T over three decades ago. Now, they DJ at blues parties which display the boundary breaking modern reggae scene that has developed and expanded, inspiring a vast free party sound system culture. Their gorgeous soundsystem has toured the world and been inspired by Jamaican early soul and blues music.

For those of you who appreciate multiculturalism, diversity and freedom song then this is your kind of night out. Channel One do not disappoint and play a mixture of current and classic music that is chosen on the spot.

You never know what to expect. 

Channel One are such a cornerstone to the alternative music scene they are the first ever reggae sound system to have set up inside Wembely Football Stadium. In 2010, they claimed the Red Bull Culture Clash title, beating Annie Mac, Major Lazer and Boy Better Know.

Channel One predominantly inspire the youth to think actively, be healthy, love one another and take no nonsense. The reggae movement is in motion with a lot of active fans, you can be assured that this will be one sweaty, stomped up evening full of sweaty happy faces.
