It’s been 5 years since Southampton’s Craig David released his last album but his latest comeback trail is hitting the headlines today after his garage cover of a Justin Bieber track has gone viral, sending the internet crazy for him all over again.

Craig has been re-winning over fans as he tours the UK with his popular TS5 show – a mixture of a DJ and live MC set. However, it’s his soulful, garage cover of Justin Bieber’s ‘Love Yourself’ that he performed on Radio 1 Extra’s Live Lounge that is currently dominating the internet with many fans Tweeting that his version is better than the original. Check it out below:

Craig is rumoured to be heading into the studio with Cheryl Fernandez- Versini after his recent appearance on X-Factor and is due to release his 6th album, ‘Following My Intuition‘ later this year.

His current single with Big Narsti, `When the Bassline Drops’, is currently climbing the charts.

With 12 Brit nominations, 13 million albums, two Grammys and three Ivor Novellos, Craig David is arguably one of the biggest musicians to hail from Southampton – and he is still proud of his roots; he is still a season ticket holder at Southampton FC’s St Mary’s Stadium and amongst other charity work he recently supported the cities Oxfam Music store after they were burgled.
