IT is one of the biggest clubbing brands in the world – and it’s making a comeback to Southampton.
Elrow has become a recognisable worldwide institution since its inception in Barcelona with its high-energy house and dancefloor techno.
Now Switch in Southampton is to feature a pair of their extravagant, free-spirited parties next year.
Based on the concept of the Spanish fiesta, each show is unique and designed around a different theme such as the bright colours of Bollywood or the Brazilian Samba.
Ryan Keary, co-owner of Switch Southampton said: “We are really excited to bring Elrow to Southampton again.
“We have worked with the owners for a very long time and are expecting some big names.”
Elrow has already associated themselves with big acts including Skream, Hector, Jackmaster and Eats Everything, who have all performed at the Above Bar Street venue in the last few months.
Last year, the club hosted an Elrow club night on Saturday December 10 followed by a day party on the Sunday.
Switch are remaining tight-lipped about the line-up and the date however both will be revealed in the New Year.
Last years line-up featured Newcastle-born house DJ Patrick Topping, one of the most in demand names in dance music and resident at Paradise in Ibiza, a club night at DC10 started up by sensational house DJ Jamie Jones.
Decor at previous Elrow events has included giant mushrooms, sharks, giraffes that tower over you, a rolling pin in pursuit of a cockerel and the trademark yellow Elrow chicken.
