Here are some of the films that you can catch in Southampton this week.

Avengers: Infinity War

The obvious place to start. Avengers: Infinity War is the hugely anticipated continuation of the Avengers series.

In the third instalment of the series, the Avengers and their allies prepare to give up everything in order to stop villain Thanos before he can put an end to the universe as we know it.

Avengers: Infinity War is showing at the Showcase, the Odeon, and Cineworld.

A Quiet Place

Directed by John Krasinski and staring Emily Blunt, A Quiet Place centres around a family trying to survive in a post apocalyptic world occupied by sightless monsters who hunt their prey through sound.

The reviews for this film have been generally positive, and cinema goers have been calling it one of the scariest films they’ve seen in a long time. Not to be missed.

A Quiet Place is being shown at Showcase, Odeon, and Cineworld.

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

This movie already takes the prize for having possibly the longest name ever given to a film.

Set just after World War 2, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society focuses on the unexpected bond between the residents of Guernsey Island and a write who decides to pen about their experiences during the war.

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society is being shown at Odeon, Showcase, and Cineworld.


Rampage is the latest film staring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. When three different animals become infected with a dangerous pathogen, and geneticist and a primatologist join forces to stop them from destroying Chicago.

Rampage is being shown at Cineworld, Showcase, and Odeon.


Produced by BFI, Beast boasts a fairly impressive 92% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The movie focuses on a troubled young woman living in a small island community, when she falls for a mysterious outsider who convinces her to give up her life with her oppressive family.

When the man becomes a suspect in a number of murders, she will defend him at all costs.

Beast is being shown at Odeon, and Harbour Lights Picture House.
