He’s also announced a massive UK tour that branches over April and May this year.

Frank Turner will release his new album Be More Kind! on May 4th. Blackout is one of the tracks from the upcoming release. His new album will be released through Xtra Mile Recordings / Polydor Records.

This album represents a theme for the 36- year-olds. Turner says of his new album, “I wanted to try and get out of my comfort zone and do something different”. It is a record that combines universal hymns with raw emotion, and intricate popular and punk dirty trademarks of Turner’s sound that show off bold and experimental nuances.

Turner wanted to try a new approach to this album. Be More Kind took place over a period of seven months, giving Turner the opportunity to convert songs to their heads, to try different versions and to shake the dynamics within his band.

Turner released the first official single from his new Be More Kind album. Turner says for this song that, “it’s a new ground for me, musically – a song that you could even play in a club, is how we can respond collectively to social dismember and collapse … ”

The accompanying video was directed by Michael Baldwin and captured in the famous Elstree Studios, the same studio complex where more than 90 years of history have been captured by key scenes from numerous legendary films such as Star Wars and Indiana Jones trilogy.
