In conjunction with the near opening of WestQuay’s new Watermark, the company will be running numerous employment roadshows to give locals the opportunity to learn about the various job roles that will be available, as well as the chance to learn new skills that will maximise their chances of securing one of the positions.

The employment roadshows are aimed at generating awareness on the job opportunities that will arise as a result of the new Watermark development, as well as to improve the career prospects of people living in Southampton through free training, advice and workshops. On the days, there will be careers experts available to help support individuals’ personal development through free dedicated training. Such training will encompass areas such as food hygiene and customer service. Those looking for work can also get support with their CVs and advice on interview techniques with special advisors.

Recruitment at the development is expected to start in September ahead of it’s opening in late December. All in all, there is expected to be 500 new jobs available at the Watermark and the roadshows are a perfect opportunity to learn more about these potential positions and to improve their chances at procuring one through training.

The WestQuay Employment Roadshows will be held at three different locations. The roadshow on the 12th September will be held at at The Saints Pub Function Room, Millbrook, the 13th September at the WestQuay Shopping Centre in Southampton and the 7th October at Solent University.
