Best described in their own words, The Rockstone’s food is comprised of a ‘pun-fuelled food menu and features our famous and creative burgers, mighty grills and Asian street food.’ The large burgers are the main attraction at The Rockstone, but they also offer an array of mixed grills and varied ‘streetfood’. The Rockstone also offers an exciting range of vegan burgers that, like the meat meals, definitely don’t skimp on the size.

Fantastic food, huge portions. Great menu and specials. The staff are brilliant. Very friendly and accommodating. We’ll definitely be back!
Another unique addition to the list, Turtle Bay is very popular with students – partly due to their incredibly flavoursome caribbean inspired dishes, partly due to their large range of unique discount cocktails. With a vibrant interior and equally energetic atmosphere, Turtle Bay is often first choice for those looking for something fresh, different but no less delicious.

La Baronia is an authentic mexican cuisine serving a wide variety of dishes. They have an extensive menu with a breakfast menu from 11am-2pm, a lunch time menu from 2pm-5pm and then an evening main course menu from 5pm onwards. La Baronia is a gold award winning restaurant, scoring 21/25 by the LHL Awards Committee. Their ‘Quality of Food’ and ‘Variety of Menu’ was rated the highest it can as ‘cannot be improved upon’. No surprise given their comprehensive menus complete with plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options.

Me and my boyfriend have been to this restaurant on a number of occasions and the food seems to get better and better. Staff are always very friendly and welcoming. Service of food is always pretty fast don’t usually wait past 30 minutes even when they are busy. The food is absolutely incredible, I’ve never ever had a bad meal there! Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
With three restaurants in the city, you can only know why this franchise is so successful by visiting. Serving an array of deliciously colourful thai dishes in equally colourful surroundings, Mango Thai Tapas Bar are undoubtedly the most popular oriental restaurant chain in Southampton. Mango also has a wide range of live music events held throughout the year.

First of all I’d like to say that I don’t normally write reviews but I was so impressed by every aspect of this place that I felt the need to share. Can’t recommend this place enough, we are very much looking forward to our next visit.
Italian restaurant Enoteca’s menu oozes class. From the outside, the restaurant perhaps doesn’t look as fancy as others on the list, but their quality and presentation in food is second to none. Not your typical italian, Enoteca ‘are an Italian restaurant with a difference – we don’t do the heaping bowls of pasta or the usual pizzas. We offer incredible Salumi e Formaggi (cured meats and cheese) imported form Italy served with informal simplicity. No pretensions to anything other than a warm welcome, great food to share with friends and family.’ The restaurant recently incorporated an all-you-can-eat menu on Tuesdays.

First visit last night based on the 5*reviews. Great little restaurant. Understated surroundings don’t prepare you for the exceptional food quality. Delicious, beautifully presented. Warm welcome, attentive and friendly service.
The Stable have recently opened their second restaurant in Hampshire and it is already a huge success. In their own words – ‘It’s simple food, that’s simply amazing.’ True to their words, The Stable has a simple menu of West Country inspired dishes, pizzas and a huge variety of 60 ciders. Specialising in scrumptious cider and tasty pizzas, what The Stable does, it does well. Also offering non-gluten ingredients and vegan options for all the pizzas from the main menu, this restaurant has something to satisfy everybody’s tastebuds.
Address: 136 Above Bar St, Southampton SO14 7DU
Every time we visit Bristol we always have dinner in the Stable. With it’s rustic charm and amazing pizzas and pies the food is to die for. We always have the cider tasting board too. Well worth a visit.
The Coriander Lounge is an indian restaurant that serves the classic indian favourites as well as some lesser known but equally delicious dishes, all made with the freshest ingredients. Not only do they offer a dining-in experience, they also do takeaways that are available for order by phone or on JustEat. Last but by no means least, the restaurant also offer buffet dining for those who’s eyes aren’t always bigger than their bellies.
Address: 130-131 High St, Southampton SO14 2BR
The experience was amazing. We are Indians, and can certainly attest to good Indian food. This place certainly has one of the best indian food outside india. The service was excellent, prompt and tidy. the repeat orders didn’t take forever to come through 🙂 Overall experience, fantastic. Given a choice, I would certainly think about going there again.
Second Italian restaurant on the list, La Tavernetta has the more classic food choices as opposed to Enoteca, albeit no less sophisticated. La Tavernetta offers tasteful, upmarket takes on classic italian dishes at affordable prices. In their own words – ‘The exciting and innovative takes on Mediterranean classics cater to all individual tastes and perfectly fulfil all the gastronomic desires you may have.’
Address: 1-3 Civic Centre Rd, Southampton SO14 7FJ
The best Italian restaurant in the UK – amazing food and excellent environment – it’s my favourite restaurant.
7Bone Burger Co – the home of ‘dirty sexy burgers’. Offering a cardiac-arrest inducing menu (in the best possible way) of juicy burgers, delicious sliders, hot dogs, baskets of ‘dirty fries’ coated in bacon bits and trays of mac n cheese, the American inspired menu of the 7Bone Burger Co is sure to put a smile on your face and an inch on your waist. It’s totally worth it.
