Miccoli new single – ‘Idle Stranger’

Birmingham based sibling trio Miccoli are releasing their new single ‘Idle Stranger’ through AFA Records on the 3rd of March 2017.

Twin brothers Adriano and Alessandro teamed up with their younger sister Francesca to form the indie pop band in 2010. Taking inspiration from the likes of ‘The Police’ and ‘Fleetwood Mac’, they plan on creating their own distinctive mixture of melodic and electronic sounds for the future.

After last year’s release of their ‘Silent’ EP, ‘Idle Stranger’ is a great follow up record from Miccoli, self-produced and recorded in Penang off the coast of Malaysia.

The new single is an exceptional demonstration of the group’s soothing harmonies that combine effortlessly with the swift acoustic beat in the background. Accompanied by some heartfelt lyrics – “so hear me now cause I don’t wanna be loved by you if you are gonna be an idle, idle, idle stranger” – all complemented by a stunning video filmed in beautiful Venice, directed by photographer Valentio McKenzie.

The release of this record is no doubt just a tantalising taster of what is to come from the band as their fans are eagerly awaiting a debut album, justified by Tom Robinson from BBC Radio 6 Music dubbing them “One’s to watch out for”.
