Platinum selling Indie rockers Matt, Oliver, Ryan, Jimmi and David have scheduled to release their newest single on 30th September previewing their upcoming LP album.

Taken from their upcoming album, the single has been said to be “the most reminiscent of the previous Pigeon Detectives output but still stands alone next to the catalogue with a hypnotic guitar line and rumbling rhythm section leading into the typical ear-worm chorus line of ‘You love it when I lose control’.”

More than just a whimsical name, The Pigeon Detectives have been busy birds since their formation in 2004 and have four albums to their name, with a fifth due for release in February. The LP was recorded with producer Richard Formby, a man who has worked with the likes of other indie outfits such as Wild Beasts, London vocalist Ghostpoet and ‘mind-expanding synth pioneers’ Spaceman 3.

When asked about their collaboration with producer Richard Formby, singer of the band Matt Bowman stated “We wanted to work with someone that would challenge us in the studio and put us out of our comfort zone, not let us take any easy ways out with songs. Richard did this and made us change our approach completely from previous records. We ended up ditching a lot of tunes that had a sound that could have been on the first albums as a result.'”
