Next Monday (29th May) one of the the biggest one-day rock festivals in the UK comes to Hatfield. Slam Dunk Festival consists of 8 stages and over 60 bands, all in one day. With the likes of Enter Shikari, Don Broco, Bowling For Soup, Neck Deep, Tonight Alive and loads more playing, it’s bound to be a whole day of partying.
What’s great about Slam Dunk Festival is that all artists play at the same times each day and often with similar set lists. So no matter which date you’re able to get to, you never miss out! If you’re committed to the cause or just love the festival, they even do a ticket, allowing you access to all 3 days.
Not only is the festival on during the day but it carries on into the night, with an afterparty on each day. This allows festival goers into an exclusive night event, full of music from the bands that have played and more so you don’t have to stop the party when it’s over!
As a festival that also hits Birmingham and Leeds, it marks it’s final day of the year at Hatfield University. Headliners Enter Shikari are set to play their debut album ‘Take To The Skies’ in full as part of a 10 year celebration. The band will be closing each night by playing the album but are likely to mix it up with a few other fan favourites.
Enter Shikari released their fourth studio album ‘The Mindsweep’ in 2015 and have been non-stop touring since. However, their decision to play ‘Take To The Skies’ coincides with it’s 10th birthday, being released in March 2007. The band are touring the world in support of this but these are the only UK dates. If you want to see the album live, make sure to head down to one of the shows!
If you want to get in on this action, Hatfield and Leeds are now SOLD OUT however there are still tickets for Birmingham (27th May) which can be purchased here.
