At just 19 years old, up-and-coming rapper Geko has gained a huge underground following from his numerous YouTube videos. Netting over 25 million views across his videos and over 140k followers on Instagram, it’s no wonder he was signed to famed UK rap label USG (Unity, Strength, Growth) alongside other popular rappers of the UK scene such as K Koke.
Geko began rapping at just 8 years old, but professes that he never took it seriously until age 12. To then be signed only a year later at age 13 is a true testament to his talent, work ethic and musical expertise. Now, Geko has left USG and is signed to OneTape records. He continues to make music videos that consistently garner millions of views, working with other popular UK artists such as Lady Leshurr.
Geko is also the youngest rapper to date to have performed on Charlie Sloth‘s BBC Radio 1 session Fire in the Booth – an accolade only the most popular UK rappers can proclaim. One of his singles Heartless also reached number 9 on the iTunes chart.
In 2015, the young rapper sold out his UK debut tour and is now set to light up the stage locally in Bournemouth’s The Old Fire Station on the 25th October.
