Formerly known as Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly. english indie-rock musician Recreations (Sam Duckworth) has had an eventful summer with appearances at a number of UK festivals and is following up his performances in a series of shows that’ll see him tour the South Coast seaside towns throughout October.
Indie rock singer-songwriter and electroacoustic guitarist Recreations grew up in Southend-On-Sea, Essex. He’ll be hosting two shows in Southend to kick of his mini south coast tour – one at the legendary venue The Chinnerys, and the other at the end of Southend Pier as part of the Estuary Festival.
At both gigs, Recreations will play his former Get Cape Wear Cape Fly’s debut gold-selling album ‘The Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager’ one last time, before leaving behind this former persona for good and focusing his efforts on Recreations.
With the announcement of his October tour dates, Recreations released an EP – Live At Lux – recorded live in Hamburg earlier this year. The EP included a number of tracks, including Pipedown – a record which is currently garnering air play on Steve Lamacq’s 6Music show as well as on Radio X’s Xposure playlist.
The character of Sam’s music has developed since the days of Find Cape, Wear Cape, Fly, and continues to do so as he does more live shows and creates more music – including brand new tracks that are soon to be released.
Following the Southend-Sea dates and The Chinnerys on the 1st October and the Southend Pier on the 2nd, Sam will be making appearances at the following locations on the following dates:
13 Bournemouth Anvil
14 Worthing, Bar 42
