clean cut kid review

Liverpudlian newcomers Clean Cut Kid have already had a sold out headline UK tour of their own and are now currently accompanying The Courteeners around the UK.

When playing alongside such veterans as The Courteeners, it’s easy for support bands to fall by the wayside, but Clean Cut Kid had no problem keeping up, drawing people away from the bar to dance along to their unique style of anthemic indie tunes.

Part of their charm is how much the four piece are clearly enjoying themselves and this enthusiasm is infectious. It’s easy to see why they were such a hit at festivals earlier this year as they clearly know how to please a crowd. Aside from their stage presence, their musical ability is also impressive with guitarist Mike Hall’s solos sounding just as polished as they do on the band’s studio recordings.

Clean Cut Kid have had a meteoric rise so far in the industry, getting signed after only playing one gig and with their music videos collectively amassing over half a million views on YouTube, and show no signs of slowing down any time soon. Their debut full-length album hasn’t even been released yet but you can check out the band’s latest single Make Believe to see what all the fuss is about below and read an interview with the band here.
