So, it’s finally happened. No, Trump isn’t stepping down from the Presidential election – something FAR. MORE. IMPORTANT is going on. Southampton is finally getting a Taco Bell!

In 1962, the first Taco Bell was opened in California. Thus began a tragic addiction for a lot of people – one that would be brought to London some 20 years later. Taco Bell are now set on developing the brand in the UK, with eleven restaurants currently established in the UK in Nottingham, Bradford, Manchester, Thurrock, Basildon, Chelmsford, Barnsley, Cleethorpes, Colchester and two in Sheffield, with a twelfth soon to be established in Southampton!

Announced less than 24 hours ago, Taco Bell’s UK Facebook page delivered the glorious news, stating “yes, we are heading down south! Southampton, you’re up next!”

Offering a range of mexican food from tacos, quesadillas, nachos, burritos and more, Taco Bell serves over 36.8 million people each week with Southampton’s population soon to be added to that total.

As the news is still hot off the press we’ve no information on when or where – whether it’s the new Hallmark development, West Quay or elsewhere, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated asap – priorities, right?!
