Previously the soulful centre of popular multi-million selling british band Keane, Tom Chaplin has stepped away from the group to pursue an independent vision, one that officially began with his new debut album release The Wave on 14th October.
Currently on a sold-out UK tour, The Wave is debuting at number 3 in the UK album Chart as of Friday. Tom has recently announced another tour – one that is to incorporate 14 dates across the UK come May 2017, including a show at the prestigious London Palladium on the 17th.
The Wave was written by Tom himself and produced by Matt Hales who has also worked with other various artists including Aqualung and Lianne La Havas. The album has already been met with critical acclaim, the Sunday Times Culture awarding it Album Of The Week and commenting that the album is “incredibly beautiful and affecting”. With no shortage of further acclaim, The Telegraph have said “The most gorgeous, anthemic, uplifting music of Chaplin’s career” as well as The Standard, The Sun, Q and Mojo all awarding the album four stars in their reviews.
The same voice people know and love with a whole new story to tell, Tom Chaplin will be coming to Southampton to perform is new music as part of his 2017 tour on the 20th May at the O2 Guildhall. For a full rundown of his future tour dates, see the list below.
